Imtiaz Rastgar is an entrepreneur, founder, and Chairman of Rastgar Group. He was born on May 27, 1946, in Jalandhar, India, and his family migrated to Pakistan when he was an infant. Imtiaz Rastgar is a manufacturing specialist who has gained world recognition for his expertise in metallurgy and metal casting. He has spent a lifetime in this field and has been consulting and advising companies on behalf of the Dutch Government, CBI,in export preparation and helping companies to build  strategy for the European market.
As Chairman of Rastgar Group, which he founded in 1967, Rastgar Engineering, a leading manufacturer and exporter of heavy axle parts for assembly lines in Pakistan and the global aftermarket. It is particularly strong in metallurgy, machining, and assembly techniques, making it a choice supplier for world-leading OEMs like Toyota, Hino, Nissan, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, Massey Ferguson, and others. Over 70% of its production is exported to more than 70 countries, including the United States, the UK, and Western Europe. 
Rastgar Air Compressors which was founded in 1980 and is a leading player in industrial air compressor market of Pakistan and a flagship of the Rastgar Group.
His other companies include iRastgar, AirAudit, Pakistan Construction & Quarry, Rastgar Materials Handling, AirPro Technix, MedAir, Sakoon Pneumatics, Potohar Center For Entrepreneurship Development, Asian Institute of Industrial Air, and PMX Export Marketing & Consulting .
Over the years, Imtiaz Rastgar has participated in the inception of several trade bodies in Pakistan, including the Islamabad Chamber of Commerce & Industry, National Productivity Organization: NPO, Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts Accessories Manufacturers(PAAPAM), Quality and Productivity Society of Pakistan (QPSP), Pakistan Foundry Association (PFA), TiE Islamabad Chapter,and Pakistan Aerospace Council.
